WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE PARTY

Message from the KCDP Chair

Volunteer inertia: the tendency to resist starting or continuing volunteer work. The inertia is driven primarily by lack of time, an inflexible schedule and/or lack information on opportunities. Volunteer inertia is epidemic in all counties in Texas, but I want to address the situation in Kerr County.

Midterms are 7 months away. Their importance cannot be understated. It is essential that Democrats and individuals who support Democrats and who want a change from the heinous current administration show up to vote. We need to encourage our friends and neighbors to SHOW UP.

How do we do this? Consider your individual skill set and become a part of the
Call To Action/Stronger Together
campaign of the Kerr County Democratic Party. Consider becoming an Organizer/Activist. I am organizing a Town Hall for July with as many candidates as I can schedule and
I am working with 4 County Chairs to invite all our constituents.
Maybe you like to barbecue. Invite your neighbors for a delicious meal and chat about getting out the vote. What is something you really like to do? Organize an activity, small or big, and invite your friends and neighbors. Let the Admin. Board know what you want put on the calendar as we head to November so we can help you get friends and neighbors to attend.

So good people, until next week, talk it up, organize an event/activity, check out the 2026 Events calendar and show up because, in the long run, we have to get out the vote for the run-offs and midterms.

Carol Caulkins, County Chair
