WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE PARTY
Message from the KCDP Chair
See below for a fabulous opportunity to hear Kendall Scudder discuss the Texas Democratic Party’s plans and the results of the elections. Hope you can join me!
Carolyn Wood-Caulkins
Kerr County Democratic Chair

Good morning!
And what a good morning it is – a great showing of Democrats yesterday! The Boerne Area Democrats are excited to host Kendall Scudder, the Texas Democratic Party Chair, as our speaker next week on Thursday, March 12. You are all invited! Our meeting will be at the Longhorn Cafe (upstairs) in Boerne and will begin at 6:00 p.m. (but plan to arrive by 5:30 if you would like to eat during the meeting).
We’re looking forward to hearing what Kendall has to say about TDP’s plans and also about the results of the Primary Election. Join us if you can!
Thanks,
Susan Dollar
President, Boerne Area Democrats

Note from the Vice Chair:
In the three years that I have been recruiting Election Poll Workers, the Hill Country Micro-School (HCMS) has consistently stepped up and provided student volunteers for the KCDP. Through the efforts of Sarah Distel, HCMS Administrator, encouraging students to volunteer, many have trained, volunteered and provided feedback on his/her experience. What a terrific hands-on civic lesson for our young people. And, these students filled, and continue to fill, a gap in our “always needing poll workers” problem.
So, when I noticed the HCMS is performing a stage adaptation of Little Women at the Arcadia Theater in April, I thought it would be a wonderful idea for our like-minded adult friends to support them! Let’s show up for them! Performances are April 17 or 18, 2026 7:00 pm

Jill Drake, County Vice Chair

All of us have worked hard getting ready for the Primary so let’s get together and laugh, relax, eat, drink and enjoy each other. You can RSVP to Kerr Dems (830) 329-2616 OR you can just come!! Either way we want to see your shiny, smiling faces.

Congratulations to Hill Country Resistance on their first Ingram protest. I saw first-hand how law enforcement ignored the flags on the Trump Train but stopped individuals with the Mexican flag on their cars. Poor form law enforcement, very poor form. Subsequent reporting from the Kerrville Daily Times stated that one of the cars with a Mexican flag was stopped because the car windows were too dark. Really? I mean, really? Very poor form, Ingram.
February is Black History Month. We celebrate the long history of the Doyle Community Center.

Choose your subject, choose your legislator, call the number and then either read the script that is provided to the person who answers or leave a voicemail. I love 5 Calls.
